Hello! I made this card as a "thank you" card for my parents. Heather's image was PERECT, I hope I didn't ruin it with my coloring and simple card. I also hope everyone had a great weekend. I thought I would share a little of mine with you. We have had unusually warm weather here (until today, it is cold and rainey) So, I thought I would take advantage of it and for once get my Christmas lights up before Thanksgiving weekend.

My Dad obviously did not see the bright red sticker that says "WARNING DO NOT STAND ON THE TOP " Yikes! I can't look!!! Notice his little helper at the bottom, I told her to hold the ladder while I took this picture. Good job Maggie!

Lilly helped untangle the lights. Good job Lilly!!

Maggie tangled them up again.

Lilly gave up and took a nap.

Yep, she is eating grass! Yummy! She likes it! And her mommy didn't notice her ear was flipped back like that until she uploaded this picture!

Hmm, I don' think that gutter will hold him if he falls! I better put the camera down and hold the ladder!

As you will notice in the pic's my Dad has on short sleeves, yes it was that nice out on Saturday. My parents spent the whole afternoon with me, my Dad hung my lights and cleaned my gutters, and my Mom put groceries away for me and cleaned the kitchen after super. I supervised the hanging of the lights, from the ground, with my camera, my cell phone handy in case I needed to call 911! I also made homemade chicken pot pie for super. It was a wonderful day. I am very blessed to have my parents so close and always so willing to help me. I hope you enjoy the pictures. Thanks for stopping by.

I have to tell you when I first saw the "Stacy and Pets" image that Heather drew for me (an early Christmas present) I laughed until I cried, then I cried because she is so sweet!!! I can not believe she captured the personality of me and my babies ( Lilly (collie) Maggie (dachshund) and Sassy Cat) so well!!! It looks just like us, and yes I am round like that! LOL

Trick or Treat?

It is the same image I used for the last post....but I don't have a lot of Halloween stuff....so, and I think she is cute. FRESH BREWED DESIGNS BLOG HOP

Yippee!!! It is finally here!!! If you got here from Carolyn's blog then you are at the right place. I had so much fun with these "Snow Buddies" from Heather's Fresh Brewed Designs that I couldn't narrow it down to one! Sorry but you will just have to amuse me and look at all of the cards that I made. I wish you could see them in person, I used lots of Fun Flocks, Liquid Glass and Prisma glitter, so there is a lot of texture and sparkle to the images. The small cards are gift card holders. That is one of the cool things about the digi images is you can make them any size you want. ICS SKETCH AND PEEK AT BLOG CANDY

The reason there is two pictures of the card is because I was messing around with the flash settings and couldn't decided which one was the best. I am trying to get some better pictures of my cards. Which one do you like, the first one, with auto flash, or the second one with soft flash?

Please Be Kind

For those of you who are still with me "Thank you" and I am sorry I have been gone so long! This is my first attempt at making a card in a very very long time, so please overlook the obvious lack of creativeness. It was a lot of fun to just get my stuff out and play though. What got me back into the card making mood was that my good friend Heather gave me some wonderful images from her new store that you can see HERE. I also was inspired by the great sketch over at Doodle Street that you must go check out HERE. The darling image is from Heather the Paper is BasicGrey Phoebe, and I won it on Cindy's blog "Creating With Heart" she is forever giving stuff away so go visit her HERE. You can't tell from the pictures but I covered the coffee mugs with Liquid Glass that I got from my BFF Y~ you can check her stuff out HERE. In real life the mugs look like they are made of ceramic, they are so shiny and pretty, you will just have to trust me on that. This was my first time using a digi image, and I did have a little trouble with it smearing even though I let it sit overnight....so if you have any tips on that please let me know. I used PaperTrey card stock and Prisma colored pencils, but still ended up with finger prints and smudges, so.....I tried to make it look like shadows, LOL, pretend with me here, Ok? Playing on the Beach

Well, I have never been to a beach or seen the Ocean, any Ocean, so I was just making up what I thought it would look like! The image was so sweet, I have been wanting to use it for a long time, I just didn't know how to color it or what to do with it, it is very big! I got the image from a swap on SCS, I think it may be retired SU, but not for sure, the card stock is dutch blue CTMH that I ran through my Cuttlebug with the script folder and then sanded, I used copics, chalk, and distress stickles to color the image, I don't know why I think the sand needed glitter, I just assume it would sparkle in the sun, let me know if this is totally not true! Fun with Images

About a year or more ago I entered several image swaps on SCS, and then never used any of them! So I decided to dig some out and see what I could come up with. The ink on the first card ran and smeared on his little face while I was coloring it :( , uh, oh, must of been water based ink. My Favorite Colors

Wow, it has been awhile since I have made anything! My life has just been crazy, you know kids....no matter how old they get they can still drive you nuts-0! I think I have spent 90% of the last week just praying for patients and more patients and guidance and just a little patience!!! When your kids are little you think you want them to grow up and then when they are grown up you wish they were little again, ugh, anyone with me on that? Ok, enough whinning from me, on to the card. Pink Elephant Challenge for my inspiration for this card. My favorite color combo is pink, brown and white, I am such a girl! This is my first time with both of the challenges so I hope not to disappoint!

No ribbon (twine doesn't count) no glitter, no flowers!!! Yippee, another card for my Dad! My goal is to send him a card everyday this week, he does so much for me, one day to thank him just doesn't seem like enough. So I have 2 days down, we will see how it goes, wish me luck. I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday for my card. You are going to get sick of this paper, but I am trying to use scraps only for my cards until I use some of them up (are you proud of me, Yvonne?). Color Throwdown Cards

I seem to have lost my mojo :( Has anyone seen it??

I tried to use this weeks Color Throwdown for some inspiration and this is all I could come up with. I really wanted to get a Father's day card done, so I made myself do one. It is almost painful NOT to add ribbon and flowers and stickels and all things girly!!!! My poor Dad usually ends up with a girly card anyway, not this year....just a plain, and I mean plain old guy card. He will love it, he always does, that is just the kinda guy he is. Well, ladies, my bff Yvonne had me over for lunch after church (this is normal, sometime I invite myself if she forgets, hee...hee) and I am stuffed and do believe a nap is in order! First of all don't look at how dirty my house is!! I need to get out the power washer, that is on my "to do" list!! Hey, I gave the dogs a bath this morning so I figure that is enough work for one Saturday! LOL!

Anyway, on to the door hanger, (I cased it HERE) I saw this at Gayle's blog, Little Bird Design, and the first thing I thought of was "I have to make one for my parents!!!" Anytime you go to their house on a nice day they have a crude handwritten sign taped to their front door, telling you they are out back. So this is perfect for them. Mine is not anywhere near as cute as Gayle's. I plan on making some more, so hopefully mine will improve with practice. The first lesson I learned was to cut the circles out as you go!!! I of course waited until I had about a zillion layers of paper on top of my cardboard and THEN tried to cut it!!! Smart huh??? LOL

SWEETSKUNKS

I found this stamp set that I had ordered from TAC a year ago maybe 2 (sometime before Dave Ramsey took over my budget wahhhh), and had never even opened it! GASP!!! I don't know why, it is so "stinkin" (cracking myself up) cute!! The black card stock and markers are CTMH and the pink paper is SU, the pearls and ribbon are from Michael's, so is the Martha Stewart border punch. I also used my Sakura stardust pen on the petals and ladybug. I just slightly altered the layout from the last post, so it probably looks kinda familiar!

Calming Down!

Hello Everyone!

I really didn't think I would have any stamping time before the wedding, however I am such a nervous wreck that I can't sleep. Creating has always been an outlet for me, a way to forget my worries and relax. So last night I found some wonderful inspiration from the
Stamp Something blog. You should hop over there and check out the DT cards. WOWZA! Makes me a little embarrassed to post mine.

Well, tomorrow is the BIG DAY, my dd's wedding! sniff sniff, choke.... you know I am going to need a lot of tissue, I will be crying like a baby! I will be back to post a pic of the most beautiful bride in the world :)

Yummy Paper

I have to confess, I bought something for myself the last time I went to Hobby Lobby for wedding stuff :( I couldn't stop myself they had this absolutely yummy paper from My Mind's Eye, called Out & About. I wish you could see it in person, it is all glittery and textured and just (sigh) well you know........what can I say, I am week. So I took a break and made a card using the this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch. (hmmm, that sounds weird) Hope you like it!

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Hi everyone!

Sorry it has been so long! Planning a wedding (for my dd) is a 24/7 job! I thought I would show you a little bit of what has been taking up ALL of my time. Making wedding invitations, favor boxes and decorating tiny bottles of bubbles!!! One more week to go and I am free again to make something fun!!! I think I am way more nervous than my daughter about the wedding, LOL! I STILL haven't found a dress....ACK....so "a shopping I will go" again today.

I also wanted to share some pics of my sweet sweet baby Lilly, she is so funny, she was looking for a cool place to nap under the boxwood bushes in front of the porch, I walked out and out pops her head! It was so funny I had to try to capture it. Of course she is bigger than the bushes so you could see her head and bottom sticking out on both sides! Too funny :)

Hello everyone! Can you believe I am posting again? I am on a roll!! This was an easy card because I had a ton of inspiration. First the Cuttlebug Rendezvous Monday Challenge was to use 2 embossing techniques and a nature theme for earth day, my second inspiration came from the Sketch for you to Try at

i {heart}2stamp. This card came together in about 10 minutes, a first for me. Oh, and the SUN is shining here! :) Whoop whoop!!! I hope the bouquet of flowers counts as a "nature" theme.

Dreaming Of Spring

Ok, spring is officially suppose to be here, but it sure hasn't felt like it to me! I am ready for sunny 75-80 degree weather! Ah, that would be so nice. Anyway on to the card, I think the colors in this paper pack are just beautiful, very soothing. It is called Unforgettable and the stamp set is Aspiration. I just have to say I think that is the weirdest name for a stamp set! I had to look it up because I thought it was for sure a misprint! LOL, well I learned the word aspiration has more than one meaning. Goes to show how smart I am, NOT. I still think it is a weird name for a stamp set. (huff, eye roll) I must say the stamp set is adorable regardless of the name. You can check the stamps and paper out HERE. Hope you have a sunny week ahead where ever you are!
